Lottie Stromich Chavez, 93, passed away at her daughter’s home on March 11th, 2024.
Lottie was born Wladyslawa (nee) Jaworska) in Poland and experienced WWII. Wladya moved to Germany with her first husband, Jakob, and child to await passage to the U.S. in the late 1950’s. She was the oldest of three, hardworking and a provider to her family back in Europe. Her father was sickly and passed away when she was 20 years old.
Lottie was someone who was generous and kindhearted with compassion and empathy for everyone. As a mom and grandma, she loved her family unconditionally and was always supportive. She loved to garden and had a green thumb with flowers and plants. She also had a gift for sewing and knitting and made traditional polish dishes for her family.
Lottie is survived by her children; Ursula (Frank) Oplawksi and Richard (Caroline) Stromich. Her grandchildren Frank Jr. (Alana) Oplawski, Amanda (John) Brodesser, Jennifer (Zach) Auclair, Jeremaiah (Ashley) Stromich, Joshua (Aubrie) Stromich, and Jessica (Karthik) Ashokan along with her Great-Grandchildren; Madelyn & Genevieve Oplawski; Sophia, Nolan, and Grant Auclair; Jacob, Claire, and James Stromich; and Seraphina and Jedidiah Stromich all survive Lottie.
Serivces for Lottie will be held on Friday March 22, 2024, at 12:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home. There will be a gathering of Family and Friends from prior to the service starting at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow the service at Bloomfield Cemetery.
