John William Dietzman Sr., 82, of Bloomfield, WI, passed away on April 12th, 2024 at his residence.
John was born in Beloit, WI on December 12th, 1942 to James Dietzman and Murial Bush. He and his brother, James, were raised in the Beloit area where he attended and graduated Beloit High School before pursuing his career in wood-working. John met the love of his life, Gladys, and on August 20th, 1987, the two united in marriage with a wedding ceremony held at their Lake Geneva home.
Gladys and John couldn’t wait to start a family of their own and were thrilled to raise a household of seven children together; Kimberly, Penny, John Jr., Randy, Victoria, Christopher, and Phillip.
John was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor! He was sure to put a smile on your face and could have a room full of people laughing in the matter of seconds. He was an active member of his church, and was passionate about serving in the “Bible Ministry” and loved to spend his free time fishing. Most of all, John deeply loved his family and found so much joy being in the presence of his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Murial. He is survived by the love of his life: his wife, Gladys, his children; Kimberly, Penny, John Sr., Randy, Victoria, Christopher, and Phillip, his grandchildren; Alicia, Joshua, Tiffany, Brittany, Bethany, Sheri, Juliana, Bridget, Dylan, Branson, Kaiel, Ailin, and his great grandchildren; Jocelyn, Kharma, Noah, Kodah, Katherin, Ellie Gavin, and Waylon.
Services for John will be held on Saturday April 20th, 2024 at 11:00am at the Briggs Road Evangelical Free Church. Visitation will be held in church from 9:00am till the time of service on April 20th.
